Naujininkai Community

Artūras Melianas together with the interests established Non-Governmental Organization “Naujininkai Community” in 2001, May. 2. “Naujininkai Community” organizes active inhabitants and workers in the district of Naujininkai.

Major goals of Naujininkai Community:

To consolidate inhabitants, workers and other persons associated with Naujininkai district to solve the general problems.
To stimulate the civic activity of Members, strengthen their organizations and abilities to represent the interests of Naujininkai Community.
To represent and protect the interests of Naujininkai Community in the authorities and society.
To provide comprehensive information and support to the Members of Naujininkai Community.
To provide information about activities and events in the Naujininkai district.
To develop employment and improvement opportunities for children and youth also pensioners.
To encourage establishment of household population societies.
To organize Community events.
To solve social problems.

Naujininkai Community has his own Youth and Pensionier clubs, also publishes newspaper. Kindergartens, Schools teams, representatives of ward and other institutions participate in the different activities of Naujininkai Community.

Every year Community organizes plenty of traditional events (February 16 th, Shrovetide, Sunday after Easter feast, Family feast, National Day feast and etc.), these very expect not only children, but also Seniors, other Naujininkai inhabitants and district visitors.

The biggest and funniest “Naujininkai Federation” festival is arranging in every autumn. Festal walk, in which participate hundreds of people, attracts plenty of inquisitives. Every year Naujininkai Community elects a honorary citizen of the year.

It is worth to mention succeeded civic actions of Community:
